Meet Mary Franz LCSW, CEC, PCC

I help you deal with the stress and overwhelm from work and home so you can stay focused, use your strengths and make big things happen. Deep down, you’ll feel confident that, “You’ve got this!”

I’ve worked with thousands of people like you over the years who are in some funky juncture in life and often feeling some emotional pain.

These people are seeking clarity so they can feel excited and make meaningful progress towards something important.

They want to speak up with more confidence, determine next steps in a career and/or retirement, improve a work or personal relationship, and understand why they feel hesitant, confused or depleted.

They want to get on with it.

My ideal client is motivated and a life-long learner who wants to bring their best strengths forward professionally and personally.

Clients find that I’m very easy to talk to, resourceful, experienced, and always kind.

My trusting ear and thoughtful questions give a safe, open, easy way to explore their thoughts, feelings and find their way past struggles and into exciting action.

I love working with someone who isn’t satisfied with the status quo and is willing to look at new ways to do old things and discover great new stuff about themselves and others in the process.

Then success, happiness, and all sorts of great things follow.

My Career Path to Freeing the Uniquely Best In People

I started out as a music major and then switched to education. Then I discovered the helping professions. Freeing the uniquely best in each person was my passion.

Social Work was a natural fit for me because of the profession’s dedication to social and economic justice, mission to empower and liberate all people and respond to basic and complex human needs.

After graduating with my master’s in social work (MSW) I accepted a faculty position in an undergraduate social work program.

I can tell you that I learned firsthand how true these words are: It takes years to develop as a professional. I consider those years as some of my worst and finest.

Five years later I was at a career and personal crossroads. It was time to make some changes.

I started looking outside what was familiar to me. My career, professional and personal life took off in unexpected and thrilling ways.

A favorite little book title sums up my philosophy: If You Meet the Buddha On the Road, Kill Him by Sheldon B. Kopp. Basically, no one knows better what is right for you than you.

I know what it’s like to take risks, break away from the familiar, and face funky junctures while navigating life’s highs and lows personally and professionally. I’m prepared to coach clients towards what’s important and right for them and help them deal with any life transition.

Working with me as your coach could be the help that’s right for you …

Coaching is all about taking action by using positive psychology emphasizing the strengths and expertise each person brings to a situation.

As a coach I offer my clients what mentors, teachers, therapists, and coaches have given me: new perspectives and a nudge to finding their bliss especially when it’s mentally, socially and emotionally tough.

I never know how coaching is going to help someone. I trust myself, you, and the process. Progress happens.

I offer both telephone and office coaching sessions as well as group sessions covering topics like “Seeking Possibilities in Conflict” and “Building Entrepreneurial Success” So, you can be from any location around the world. We can connect today by telephone!

If you couldn’t fail, what changes would you make? Perhaps a chat together will be the catalyst for your future. Book an “I’ve got this!” Strategy Session with me today. Let’s get started.

I grew up in the Midwest, the center of the nation.

East, West, North or South, I love being in the middle and have the heart to travel with anyone through challenging passages in life.

The resiliency and strengths possible for discovery when people open up is like seeing the Mediterranean Sea for the first time. Breathtaking. Humbling. Inspiring.
